ALL IN ALWAYS
ALL IN ALWAYS

For years I've flirted with the idea of writing an entirely instrumental album. In June 2014, inspired by all night jam sessions and the euphoric sunrises that followed them, I channeled that feeling into writing fiddle tunes and began making plans for an overseas adventure to Spain, Sweden and Quebec. This album was recorded in January 2015 over three weeks with friends in Spain, Sweden and Quebec. Featuring: Xose Liz, Anxo Pintos, Chisco Feijoo, Adam Johansson, Jonas Bleckman, Jens Linell, Yann Falquet, Dominic Desroches, Pierre-luc Dupuis.

The Poison Oaks
The Poison Oaks

The Poison Oaks began as a studio experiment, an excuse to focus on experimentation and the process of making art. The sound evolved into a full fledged collective album with fifteen members. In the fall of 2011 The Poison Oaks emerged with their 7" Pine: songbird vocals, triple tracked banjo, shredding guitars an indie rock folkestra with fiddle sometimes roaring and sometimes accompanying. The full experiment is available in the store. A few of the tracks are here on spotify.

BCMFest: Boston's Celtic Music Fest
BCMFest: Boston's Celtic Music Fest

I started this festival in 2004 with my good friend Shannon Heaton as a way to showcase the communities that nurtured us as young musicians. It has grown into an annual weekend-long festival in January that features more than 100 performers. BCMFest (Boston's Celtic Music Fest), a program of Passim, showcases Greater Boston's best musicians, singers, and dancers from Irish, Scottish, Cape Breton, and other Celtic traditions. Along with me and Shannon Heaton, Leanne McNally and Sean Smith head the BCMFest committee.
